Bugatti Veyron hypercar: the 16.4 Super Sport., dubbed as Fastest Bugatti


Bugatti has revealed itsiconic Veyron hypercar: the 16.4 Super Sport.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport is the production version of the car that now holds the title of world’s fastest production car, a record it set in June at Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessein test track.

This car managed a top speed of 267.91mph, although the production version will have its speed capped at 415km/h (258mph) to help “protect the tyres”. Apart from having its top speed limited, Bugatti says the rest of Super Sport will be “identical to the world record car”.


Bugatti says the Super Sport “is the result of the continuous development of the classic 987bhp Veyron”, which was first launched in 2005.

Power in the Super Sport’s 8.0-litre 16-clyinder engine is up to 1184bhp and torque is increased to 1106lb ft thanks to larger turbochargers and intercoolers; the chassis has had to be extensively modified to cope with the extra power and speed.

These changes include slightly raised main spring travel, stronger stabilisers, and new shock absorbers.

The aerodynamics have also been tweaked to improve efficiency. The front air intakes are now larger and reshaped while at the rear there is a new double diffuser and central exhaust system.

Production of the model will start in the autumn and will be limited to just 40 units. Bugatti has had orders for 260 of the Veyron’s 300-unit production run and Super Sport models will account for the remainder of its production.

The first five Super Sport units will be known as the World Record Edition and are finished in the same exposed carbon and orange livery used for the successful record attamept. All five have already been sold.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport makes U.S. Debut


US Bugatti lover, is pocket filled with cash???  If not then fill it.  Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, which the automaker introduced to Drive On and automotive press yesterday near Carmel, Calif.

You need to shell out $2.1 million to buy the painted version, $2.4 million to purchase one in which the translucent carbon-fiber body is observable in its rich detail. It arrives later this year.

The Super Sport adds another 299 horsepower to the 1,001-hp Bugatti Veyron 16.4 that launched in 2005. Like the prevous model, the Super Sport has a twin clutch arrangement and paddle shifter, but no clutch pedal or stick shifting. To get the extra horsepower, it adds larger turbochargers and bigger intercoolers to boost the power of the 8-liter 16-cylinder engine. The chassis has been extensively tweaked to remain safe, in order to cope with the additional power and increased speed. Revisions include a slightly raised main-spring travel, stronger stabilisers, and new shock absorbers with a complex architecture similar to which used in racing.


The car goes from zero to 100 miles an hour to zero in 9.2 seconds. Zero to 100 mph alone: 4.8 seconds. Now get this: Zero to 200 mph to zero in 25.6 seconds. And zero to 200 mph alone in 17.4 seconds.

The Super Sport's 16-cylinder engine is now fed air from two NACA ducts integrated
into the roof. The front air intakes have been expanded and reshaped, with the lower one extending elegantly around the sides to the wheel arch. The revised rear end is supposed to look sportier due to the double diffuser and a centrally arranged exhaust system.

John Hill, Bugatti marketing manager for the Americas, says the prospective buyers of the new car will include a lot of current Veyron owners who want to move up. "They don't buy them to add to something else. They buy it to add to their collection," Hill says.

MMRDA proposes India's Second F1 Track.

After making road in India's captial, we may see the second proposed F1 track in India's Financial city in the state of Maharashtra near its capital Mumbai.

The state’s development agency, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), is reported to have proposed the circuit along the Mumbai-Pune expressway. The said stretch connects two of the major cities in India; the latter carries a Tier II status.

“MMRDA plans to first hold a meeting with interested parties on August 17 to take the idea forward,” said a state government official speaking to Business Standard. “The proposed site along the 93-km Mumbai-Pune expressway is ideal. However, the final site will be decided on after taking into account suggestions from those interested in investing in the project,” he added under conditions of anonymity.

The proposed area is 700 acres and the government will aim to build the circuit under private partnership. The track constructed in Noida, the Jaypee Group Circuit, is fully under private hands. The official further stated that the project would be referred to experts for their recommendations.

“The consultants will suggest whether or not the project is feasible. We have also got to discuss how the project should be structured if the private sector is involved. The cost of the project will be announced once the consultants submit their report,” he went onto explain.

The Jaypee Group Circuit that is being constructed in the North is scheduled to hold an F1 race next year and is expected to be completed by April 2011. A supposedly leaked report of the following year’s calendar suggests that the event will be held in the month of October.

MMRDA proposes India's Second F1 Track.

After making road in India's captial, we may see the second proposed F1 track in India's Financial city in the state of Maharashtra near its capital Mumbai.

The state’s development agency, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), is reported to have proposed the circuit along the Mumbai-Pune expressway. The said stretch connects two of the major cities in India; the latter carries a Tier II status.

“MMRDA plans to first hold a meeting with interested parties on August 17 to take the idea forward,” said a state government official speaking to Business Standard. “The proposed site along the 93-km Mumbai-Pune expressway is ideal. Nissan GT-R 2011

Nissan GT-R, designed by Shirō Nakamura is a sports car produced by Nissan, released in Japan on December 6, 2007, the United States on July 4, 2008, and the rest of the world in March 2009. It is a 2-door, 4-passenger sports car, available in one variant only, the Premium.

Nissan GT-R 2011 is equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 485-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard.

The 2011 GT-R is a carryover from 2010.
