Honda launches superbike worth 17.5 lakh in India.


The Super bike manufactures are trying to gain their market share in India. Recently, Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda on Friday launched its new super bike, VFR1200F, at ex-showroom price of ` 17.5 lakh in Delhi.

The new bike from the Honda's stable is powered by a 1237cc V4 engine which offers strong torque delivery and typically produces more than 90 per cent of its maximum torque (129Nm/8,750 rpm) at 4000 rpm. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 18.5 litres.

The bike would be available in two colours- Candy Prominence Red and Seal Silver Metallic.

The VFR1200F will be on roads the by third week of August, 2010.

"This fun bike is manufactured at the Honda's most advanced facility and the mother plant of global motorcycles -the Kumamoto factory in Japan. VFR1200F is a concept driven by extensive customer needs", said Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India President and CEO Shinji Aoyama.
